OpenAI has announced Stargate Norway, its first European AI data center under the OpenAI for Countries program. Located in Narvik, it will start at 230MW capacity, expandable to 520MW, and host 100,000 NVIDIA GPUs by the end of 2026. Fully powered by renewable hydropower, the project is a joint venture between Nscale and Aker.
