GritAI Newsletter: GPT-5.4, ChatGPT Skills, Claude growth, and GritAI on the road โœˆ๏ธ

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹

Last week, OpenAI shipped GPT-5.4, the first model to beat humans at real desktop computer tasks. It scored 75% on OSWorld-V versus 72.4% for human workers. It comes with a one million token context window and a reasoning mode that beats professionals 83% of the time on GDPval. They also rolled out Skills for ChatGPT, letting teams turn workflows into reusable instructions. Finally!

At the same time, more people are now signing up for Claude than ChatGPT. The Pentagon stance put Anthropic on the map for millions of new users, Claude Code keeps going viral, and with the latest updates to Claude Cowork bringing agentic automations to the desktop, more and more people are getting agentic powers without writing a single line of code. The product lineup is shipping faster than anyone else. Standing for something turned out to be a growth strategy.

On our end, a couple of weeks ago we hosted our third Claude Code Meetup at Mesh Oslo with Boris Cherny, the creator of Claude Code, as our secret guest. 350 people in the room, 100+ on the waiting list, live streaming between rooms. It was magical! ๐Ÿ”ฎ And more than 400 people have signed up for the next one ๐Ÿ”ฅ

We are also launching our first Claude Code Bootcamp on March 24!

But that was not all the AI news these past weeks. Let us dive in ๐Ÿ„

How to Build Your First MCP App with Claude Code

MCP Apps let your tools render interactive dashboards, forms, and visualizations directly inside Claude and ChatGPT. In this video we build a full MCP App from scratch using Claude Code and the official agent skill โ€” and the same approach works with any agent tool that supports skills, including VS Code Copilot, Goose, Cline, Gemini CLI, Codex, Cursor, and Google Antigravity.
